The core journal and flat maps work offline. Export your records as JSON when you want a backup or a way to move between platforms.

Built for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Apple Vision Pro, with layouts that make room for your map and your memories. Availability is listed separately for each platform.

Explore the clearly labelled fictional sample in the read-only viewer, or open a Charted JSON export locally. Use Reset search and filters to start over; loading the sample again resets its journal. Your imported file stays in your browser.

Where can I install Charted?

Charted is available for Mac, Android phones and tablets, and Apple Vision Pro. The iPhone and iPad editions are awaiting App Store release. Availability can vary by country; check the linked store for your device.

What do the screenshots show?

The screenshots preview an upcoming build using a fictional travel journal. The interface and features can differ from the currently available store editions; availability is listed separately for each platform.

Does it work offline?

The journal, flat maps, and statistics work offline. Apple globe imagery, optional cloud sync, and store purchases need an internet connection.

What happens to my photos?

In the currently released editions, photos you select stay in the app’s storage on your device. They are not included in JSON exports or journal sync, so keep a separate photo backup.

Can I move between Apple and Android?

In the currently released editions, you can export your journal as JSON and import it on the other platform. Photos need a separate backup. Apple and Google cloud sync are separate, and Pro purchases do not transfer between stores.

What is Charted Pro?

An optional one-time upgrade for region and city tracking, a globe, timeline, year cards, and an unlimited wishlist. Features vary by platform; check the store for your local price.
