Using Charted

Charted helps you record and visualize your travels. You retain ownership of the records and photos you add. Only import, attach or share content you have permission to use. Keep a separate export of important journal records and separate backups of photos; photos are not included in JSON exports or journal sync.

Free features and Pro

The app is free to download. Charted Pro is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. The store displays the price and applicable taxes before purchase. Pro unlocks the features available for your platform in the purchased app; capabilities can differ between iPhone/iPad, Apple Vision Pro and Android. It does not promise every future separate product or service.

Purchases are managed by Apple or Google. Restore a purchase using the same store account. Apple and Google purchases do not transfer between stores. Store payment, refund, family-sharing and consumer-protection rules apply. For Apple downloads, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a different agreement is supplied in App Store Connect. These terms do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

Maps and travel information

Map boundaries and place counts follow the datasets and counting basis described in the app. They are intended for journaling, not navigation, legal boundary determinations, border-crossing advice or proof of presence. Disputed boundaries do not express the publisher's position. Dataset corrections and platform changes may affect the map or counts.

Optional online services

Cloud sync depends on your Apple or Google account, available storage, network connection and service availability. Apple globe imagery also needs internet access. The privacy policy explains these connections and how to remove local and cloud data. The web viewer is a read-only companion and does not provide a Pro purchase or journal synchronization service.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Charted useful and reliable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted third-party services or that every device will support every feature. Contact support with the platform, app version and steps to reproduce a problem. These terms do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Updates

Changes to these terms will be published with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be communicated where required. Your local consumer rights continue to apply.
